This is a brand new, in-the-box Roper Knives Sowbelly Stockman (aka a Cutting Horse) pocket knife. The Sowbelly knife, named for its “pig’s belly” appearance, is a durable version of the stockman knife pattern. Made for grueling daily use on a busy ranch, this pocket knife is made to handle tough jobs. The knife is 3 ¾” closed in length. It has a smooth glossy dark red genuine bone handle† ‡ – very durable and unique (a very beautiful dark red handle). The skinner, small skinner, & spey point blades are satin finished 1065 carbon steel (please use a little oil to keep the blades from showing patina). It is a slip joint, has thumbnail pulls, has the Roper unit number tang stamp, has a model no. tang stamp, has a Roper logo tang stamp, has crimped nickel silver bolsters, and has a Roper Knives logo inlay shield. This knife is a very unique & durable offering from Roper Knives. Plus, this is great for collecting (or EDC), not only because of the sowbelly stockman frame with two skinner blades, but it is also unique because of the glossy dark red handle…don’t pass this up!
