This is a brand new, in-the-box W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. Black & White Fiber Weave Sway Back pocket knife. The Case Black & White Fiber Weave series is a line of pocket knives that embrace extreme durability and outstanding looks. The Sway Back knife is inspired by English Jack knives from the 19th century. The elegant curve of the handle and Wharncliffe blade make this another Case & Tony Bose designed success. The knife’s pattern number is TB101117 SS. It is 3 ⅛” closed in length – very pocket friendly. This black and white grip is comprised of a specially woven combination of Carbon Fiber and G10 in the handle† ‡ – yielding an incredibly light, yet ultra-tough handle that really holds up to heavy use. The Wharncliffe blade is a Tru-Sharp™ chrome vanadium (CV) steel, which is known for its edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening, yet it is more resistant to rusting, pitting, and discoloration than stainless steel. *We recommend keeping a thin film of oil on the blade to maintain the finish.
The Wharncliffe blade features a thick back for added strength, curving to a fine point that meets a straight-honed edge for extra control – this is a rugged, hard-working blade. This blade makes for a great general purpose utility pocket knife. From handymen requiring a quick and easy go to tool on the job to office staff opening up boxes, the Wharncliffe blade is the blade of choice. This knife is a slip joint, has a thumbnail pull, has a nickel silver Case logo diamond inlay shield, has a Case production tang stamp, has brass pins & liners, and has nickel silver bolsters. This knife is made in the USA by Case. It is not just top quality, it is made in America by a company who has been around for over a hundred years, making top quality cutlery. Plus, it is very collectible, not only because it is Case, but also because it is a sway back frame with a carbon fiber & g10 woven handle!
